The Packers look to keep Odell Beckham's off-season party hopes alive with a win over the Giants on Sunday afternoon. But will the Giants come into Lambeau loose and steal yet another one from the Green Bay Packers? The home-field advantage has not been as strong of late for the Packers, but Aaron Rodgers is playing at an MVP level. The Packers' defense, however, has several question marks in the injury category, most critical of which is the status of Quinten Rollins but the status of Joe Thomas, the Packers' ILB thumper is still in question too. So the formula…

When the Packers play the Lions Sunday night in the last game of the 2016 regular season, for each team it could be do or die. The Lions are at home and have a great quarterback in Matthew Stafford, who has offset the absence of Calvin Johnson this year with ball distribution to Golden Tate et al. With air temps hovering around zero and wind chills possibly in the minus 20 range, the Packers versus Bears game this time around may take on a different tone than the Packers/Seahawks cold weather game last Sunday. If the wind is a factor, will the Packers be able to compensate with the run game? Then, lo and behold...Thompson does sign Michael (and the Vikings wanted him too) so now we have another option at running back that might develop into an important piece down the stretch. I'm not saying that Michael is going to be the be-all, end-all of the Packers' offense. But December at Lambeau requires that the team can run the ball…

One of the surprises of the Packers' 2016 season so far is the revolving door at the running back position. The concurrent injuries of Eddie Lacy and James Starks threw the Packers' offensive backfield into a tizzy. Then, Lacy had to be put on I.R. and Packers' head coach Mike McCarthy avoided the question as to whether the Packers were going to try to draw Lacy off the list once he is healed. Starks practiced this week, but coming off knee surgery in a season where he wasn't playing well anyway is cold comfort for a team that now has…
