Packers are in the Playoffs!

The Packers got to the playoffs today with a 20-3 win over Tampa Bay. Now, if the Cowboys win or tie, they clinch the NFC East and the Seahawks also clinch a spot with a win or a tie. While it would be nice to see the Seahawks drop one, it seems unlikely against an Arizona team who, though they now hold the top spot in the NFC...also will be fielding their third string quarterback. Losing Streak on Defensive Draft Selections Sends Mixed Messages

The trade of Jerel Worthy to the Patriots last week triggered widespread realization amongst fans that the Packers 2012 draft class hasn’t amounted to much. Outside of proven contributors Casey Hayward and Mike Daniels, the only remaining draft pick of the eight original selections is injury-plagued Nick Perry, who now faces split playing time with pro bowl pass rusher, Julius Peppers. Not such a good sign for one of the NFL’s most draft-dependent clubs. The Packers ran out of magic in the Niners’ wild card visit to Lambeau Field as Jim Harbaugh’s crew beat Green Bay for the fourth consecutive time. Colin Kaepernick had his way through the air against a Packers pass defense that saw four starters suffer injuries after kickoff. Davon House was a dark horse in the contest, making several big pass break-ups (with the help of some liberal officiating) while also giving up big gains.
