As most of you know, Aaron Rodgers was not cleared to play yesterday. Hope he drinks his milk and come Wednesday gets the go-ahead. In the meantime Matt Flynn is once again taking starter reps at the quarterback position. Aaron not being cleared is significant for a couple reasons: 1. The obvious...it leaves in question whether he will be able to play against the Cowboys in Dallas on Sunday. Defining the “Balanced Attack” Part 3

In parts 1&2 of this series we talked about the role of the play callers and the running backs in creating a balanced offensive attack. I think not. (more…)

Training Camp Analysis: Running Backs

  4 years ago     68 Views     3 Comments

Often in search of three rushers just worthy of keeping on their 53-man roster, the Packers have a handful of running backs to choose from heading into the 2013 season. The competition centers around three veterans with varying degrees of health problems, and three rookies, each with a unique skill set. Due to the talent in other position groups, the number of running backs retained figures to be capped at four. As always, the coaching staff will keep an eye out for players who can also contribute on special teams. One player that has the ability to contribute as…
