GPN Wants Your Opinion!

Packers 5 on 4Do you love the Packers but sometimes wish you understood the game better? Does your girl/boyfriend get a little short with you when you ask questions during the game? Well GPN wants to change that.

It is always easier to love a sport when you understand it, so greenbaypackernation.com would like to help! We want to do a course on the basics of football, called “Football Fun-01”. This would provide the basics of the game and give anyone who struggles to understand what’s going on a chance to become a football guru! Ha! Well, not really but we want to approach the game with a reasoned, orderly approach that allows our readers/listeners/watchers to have their questions answered without the roar of the crowd and the next play coming and nacho cheese flying through the air. And we want you to be able to learn it, at your own pace, on your own time…anonymously.

So, we are polling our readers to gauge the interest in such a course. Let us know that you are Burnetttransitioninterested by clicking as many radio buttons as pertain to you in the poll below. Topics will include:

  • How American football was “born”
  • The line of scrimmage
  • The “neutral zone”
  • The field of play, rules and refs
  • Moving the ball…how the offense works
  • Stopping an offense…how the defense works
  • What makes special teams “special”
  • Why do guys keep moving around before the ball is snapped?
  • How does a team get a “first down” and why?
  • What its the “League”, “Conferences”, “Divisions”?

voteThis is just a sample of the topics and questions that we will answer in “Football Fun-01” Let us know what you think (anonymously) below or LIKE and SHARE to let us know you are interested. And if you don’t mind people seeing your name on it…let us know what questions YOU would like to have answered in “Football Fun-01”.

I would support about to look up particular subjects when needed within an overall course.
An option of a progressive course divided as indicated in your item with key areas/subjects. on completion you get certificate of some type like
    educated cheesehead haha

I would really LOVE A COURSE like this. I need lots of help!!While I know some things, my husband assumes I understand the whole game. When I ask a question he says you should know that. As a result I don’t get an answer and I don’t ask questions anymore.

I know quite a bit about the game–but would like to better understand some of the smaller details.

Thanks Janet! We will be creating some more advanced courses too! I will try to keep in mind that good descriptions are important so you can find exactly what you need!

Thanks Eric! We will probably have a more advanced course and that will be one of the subjects! This one will have the positions, but a more basic description. Thanks for the feedback!
