One of our Twitter followers @jschuchart asked an excellent question. I thought I'd post the question here and see if anyone can come up with an answer...
Question - has a football team ever beat the same opponent in the preseason, regular season, and post season in the same year?
At first, I got really excited because I thought I knew the answer and thought it was one that would get Packer Nation pumped for this preseason. My guess turned out to be incorrect, but I'll share it with you anyway.
I suspected that the Packers themselves had beaten a team in the preseason, regular season, and post season. I thought I'd remembered the 1996 Packers beating the New England Patriots in the preseason, regular season, and in the Super Bowl to bring the Lombardi trophy home where it belongs.
Alas, the 1996 Packers did beat the Patriots in the preseason and Super Bowl, but didn't meet them during the regular season that year.
It would have been a fun answer to the question though.
