In a game that had the feel of a post-season game though it only is week two, the Packers got the albatross off their back with a big win against the Seahawks to go to 2-0 and maintain first place in the division. The Seahawks are now 0-2 after the loss last week to the Rams.
The Seahawks hoped for a field goal and another chance at an onside kick that could give them a chance but Jayrone Elliot had other plans. Knocking the ball out to force a fumble recovered by the Packers that would seal the game, Elliot got his chance and he made it count.
The Packers played a much better game on defense holding Marshawn Lynch to 2.7 yards per carry and a total of 41 yards. The offense had contributions from James Jones yet again and a great performance from Richard Rodgers who showed that he can be a red zone threat. James Starks filled in admirably for an injured Eddie Lacy, averaging 4.8 yards per carry and cashing in some yards in the critical final two Packers drives.
