Charles Davis in his 4th mock draft has Jalen Collins, the cornerback out of LSU going to the Packers. While Collins is likely to still be on the board, the question is - is he worth our first round pick? I think the answer to that question depends on whether you are looking for him to make an immediate impact or take a year or two to learn how to be good against the pros. Who Will Be The Packers Toughest Opponent In 2015?

The Packers have another difficult schedule in front of them in 2015. With the exit of Ndomokong Suh, Nick Fairley, and Brandon Marshall (Bears), and the possible departure of Adrian Peterson from the Vikings, this year's weakest opponents may be in the NFC North. Packers Receive Compensatory Draft Picks

The NFL's annual meeting in Arizona saw 14 teams receive a total of 32 compensatory draft picks. The choices are given to teams who have a net loss of free agents from the previous year (losing more this year than they acquired the year before) up to 4 picks max. Picks can also be awarded based to a team that loses a better player and acquires a lesser one (based on salary, playing time, awards and honors etc.) even though there is no net loss or gain. The placement of the picks also varies as part of the formula. (more…)
