The Best Pic That I DIDN’T Get At The Game

Well in the last post, we talked about the starting offense and how James Starks and the offensive line showed the dominance that we expect from this team in the run game. Also, it showed that our second string running back can average over 8 yards a carry against a starting defense. Pretty cool. But a LOT of the anticipation for this year's team has been about how the defense will improve after a lackluster showing last year. Well, here is a little point/counterpoint with myself (well, I don't have anyone but myself to argue with at 8:00 in the morning!)…

AM Quickslant: A Wet Start to the Preseason

  3 years ago     73 Views     1 Comment

The Packers preseason kicked off with a clash with the Titans at LP Field last night and the game couldn't have been...wetter! Shortly before the game, thunderstorms circled the area threatening to end our chances of seeing any football at all. The defenses will be pretty…

Are the points important?...no. Are wins and losses important?...no. Do we play too many preseason games?...perhaps. But live action contact football against another NFL team is CRITICAL to the progress of each NFL team in each NFL year. Here's why? (more…)

What 2 Watch 4: Derek Sherrod Part 1

First of all...what a shame to go through another season having lost a key lineman before it ever began. Don Barclay's ACL injury is a blow to the depth of a Packers offensive line that could have made fans feel much more comfortable about Rodgers' protection this year. Trade Bulaga for Barclay and we lose lose last year's starter for last year's lost starter...yikes! (more…)
