As many of you know by now...AJ Hawk, 5th pick overall...has been released by the Packers. This moves the Packers from a re-vamping year at inside linebacker to a re-building year. For all of his knocks (mostly due to the fact that he was picked number 5¬†overall) AJ was a consummate Packer, a phenomenal teammate, and an all around good guy. Just read his statement and you will see that AJ went out with dignity and class: (more…)

By cutting Brad Jones the Packers freed up 3.5 million in cap with only 1 million dead money today. But what intrigues me most is that Thompson has shown his hand so to speak before the draft. While nobody wants our defense to give up…

  3 years ago     94 Views     2 Comments

The Packers home opener against the Jets looks like the perfect opportunity for Green Bay to get back on track after an embarrassing showing against the Seahawks. And with three successive games against NFC North opponents to follow, getting back on track is not just important, it is paramount. But the Packers cannot afford to overlook the Jets in this game, while it could hardly be earlier in the season, with the Packers schedule it looks like a fast start is at stake in this game because with away games at the Bears and the Lions coming up to falter…
