Guion Suspended Three Games

LeTroy Guion was handed a three game suspension according to Ian Rappaport. The suspension could mean the Packers are without the defensive tackle for the season opener against the Bears and more. Of course, it is expected that Guion will appeal but as it stands now, the Packers are going to have to do without for awhile. Guion was arrested in possession of 357 grams of marijuana and $190,000 cash back in February.  (more…)

Is it April 30th yet? Football season can't get here soon enough for most fans, and April 30th "Draft day" kicks off the new beginning in my opinion. Some fans like the free agency frenzy and believe that's the start of the season but I have learned Ted Thompson doesn't dabble in free agency too often except to retain his own, so as I said draft day is the day I look forward to for the new season. Packernation has seen the interior of the defense in flux all off-season with no signings...until now. According to NFL.com, LeTroy Guion and the Packers have agreed to a one year deal. The deal came after a season in which Guion came on at the right time but then made huge blunder by being picked up for marijuana possession.  (more…)

The criminal case against Green Bay Packers free-agent nose tackle Letroy Guion was closed yesterday and LeTroy is now aiming to continue his NFL career. "The case was settled. Case closed," Guion's attorney Seth Katz said. "Letroy's relieved at this point. He's relieved it's behind him and he can focus on getting back to football." (more…)

General manager Ted Thompson has stuck to his guns in free agency again this year by staying away from signing high price players from other teams. He was able to retain two key players in Randall Cobb and Brian Bulaga to shore up the offense again this year but while keeping the offensive side of the ball in tact he has lost a couple key players on defense.
