Is signing Cobb really worth it?

Let me start by saying I am like the rest of Packer nation in that I would like to see Randall Cobb get signed to a long term contract. Now lets be realistic about this. Randall has stated he wants 9 million a year which he is well worth. His play on the field has been fantastic to say the least, he is a favorite target for Rodgers in clutch situations and more often than not, exceeds expectations after the catch. The time is getting closer for the Packers to make crucial decisions on their free agents this year, I know most people are saying Cobb is a must sign and I would agree with that for the most part, BUT, lets say his price tag is so high that they have to let Bulaga,Barclay,Bush,Williams,and House walk? The Packers 30-20 win over the Lions yesterday kept the home field winning streak alive as well as the Packers NFC North title reign. With this win the Packers locked up #2 seed and a first round bye that was much needed to help Rodgers injured calf get time to heal. Speaking of which how many of you thought the Packers were doomed soon as Aaron went down right before the half and needed to be carted off to the locker room for evaluation? I know my heart dropped. The Packers confirmed Sunday the abnormally long list of flaws that had fans of the 15-1 NFC North champs on the edge of their seats all season long. The deep-rooted problems lie on defense, though miscues like dropped passes and fumbles played a major role in the loss. It was sheer sluggishness that cemented the Packers' fate though, as Green Bay kissed their magical season goodbye in front of a hopeful Lambeau audience.
