Eddie Lacy: One Shot Wonder?

Eddie Lacy is in the news for the first time because of his inability to perform in the first three weeks of the NFL season. Last week was arguably his worst performance as a Packers starter with a fumble, a tackle for loss that resulted in a safety, and a general "un-Lacy-like" performance. Lacy ran high, was indecisive and though he had a few good runs (38 yards on 8 carries) and covered way too much ground East/West for a running back whose strength is yards after contact. It's Wednesday..."hump daaaaayyyyeah!" More preseason games again tomorrow and the Pack at the Rams on Saturday. I was watching the Aaron Rodgers interview today and three things jumped out at me. Can’t Get Enough of this Guy

I can't help it...I love watching Eddie Lacy film. This kid pretty much single-handedly became the answer for a running game that had been absent in Green Bay for far too long. While today's NFL allows for teams with a great quarterback and wide receivers (Green Bay) to not just survive but thrive, keep in mind in 2010 how important it was that James Starks came on strong when he did.
