Julius Peppers: Will He Have More Sacks or Assists?

  3 years ago     116 Views     2 Comments

Marc Sessler Reported today that Packers GM Ted Thompson is high on Julius Peppers and thinks he will be a force to be reckoned with on the Packers defense this coming season. I agree wholeheartedly. Opposing offenses are now going to have to "pick their poison". Focus on Clay Matthews...get Julius Peppers running down your quarterback...focus on Peppers and, well...you know the rest. I think initially teams will focus on Matthews, requiring Peppers to prove himself, and prove himself he will. Julius Peppers, in that scenario, gets 10+ sacks next season. But what if teams shift the focus to Peppers? Then…

In the first part of this series, we tried to redefine the "balanced attack" on offense as one that has the pieces in place to deal with whatever the opposing defense throws at them. I think not. (more…)

Football is all about scoring touchdowns. Granted the highest scoring players in the league are generally kickers, but no team wants to score a bunch of field goals in a game and very few games are won without scoring a touchdown. If Packer fans had a choice, every pass Aaron Rodgers tossed in the air would result in a touchdown. Of course, that's never going to happen, but just how many of Aaron's passes DO result in a touchdown? The answer might shock you. (more…)

Is Eddie Lacy the Packers’ Next Perennial Back?

4 years ago     74 Views     Leave your thoughts

Ryan Grant, Ahman Green, Dorsey Levens, Edgar Bennett... these are some names we all know well. Not only did these backs give the Packers the potential of a 20 yard explosion at any given time, they also had long tenures with the Packers. Since Grant effectively closed out his career as the primary back at Green Bay, the Packers have been looking for someone to fill the void and become the next perennial running back. Have the Packers finally found that back in Eddie Lacy? The following video clips show some of the potential Lacy brings to the green and…
