John Kuhn is back with the Pack! According to his agent, Kevin Gold, the Packers have re-signed John Kuhn to a one-year $870,000 contract. The Pro Bowl fullback also reportedly received a roster and Pro Bowl bonus. Kuhn has been a fan favorite while only playing a little over 20% of the snaps.  (more…)

Packers Receive Compensatory Draft Picks

The NFL's annual meeting in Arizona saw 14 teams receive a total of 32 compensatory draft picks. The choices are given to teams who have a net loss of free agents from the previous year (losing more this year than they acquired the year before) up to 4 picks max. Picks can also be awarded based to a team that loses a better player and acquires a lesser one (based on salary, playing time, awards and honors etc.) even though there is no net loss or gain. The placement of the picks also varies as part of the formula. (more…)

General manager Ted Thompson has stuck to his guns in free agency again this year by staying away from signing high price players from other teams. He was able to retain two key players in Randall Cobb and Brian Bulaga to shore up the offense again this year but while keeping the offensive side of the ball in tact he has lost a couple key players on defense. Davon House signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tramon Williams left for the Cleveland Browns so what was once solid position in the secondary is a injury away from being a disaster.…

It's St. Patrick's Day but the 49'ers have been dealt another stroke of bad luck. Chris Borland, the team's leading tackler and former Wisconsin Badger standout is retiring.Borland cited health concerns as the reason he is walking away from the game after just one season. Borland had experienced two concussions and reportedly thought he had a third during training camp, but did not report it as it may have hurt his chances for making the team.  (more…)
