Super Bowl Bound - PackersThe setting: Cold Soldier Field along the Lake Michigan lakefront

The opponents: The rivals for 89 years, the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, playing for a birth in the Super Bowl. Meeting in the playoffs for the first time in 70 years

The result: Packers win 21-14.

Nothing to break down, nothing to analyze tonight.

THE PACKERS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After years of abuse, after all the comments, after all of the garbage, I will walk tall and proud. The Packers have the emotional upper hand forever against the Bears.

More importantly, we're going to the Super Bowl!

Enjoy tonight, tomorrow, the next day, and the next few weeks. This feeling doesn't happen often enough.

At the end of the night my grand-daughters were chanting with me "GO PACK GO!!! I can think of no better legacy to leave than to inspire the youngest amongst us to cheer for the Packers!!! What a ride this has been this year!! I for one will relish this year as an unexpected journey. With the injuries and problems that plauged the Packers early on, I have to admit this is totally unexpected!! Congrats to the Team and Coaching Staff for this Wonderful Trip to the Promised Land!!!! GO PACK GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

At the opening of the season we wished for this day but as the year wore on, I felt that it was slipping away and I would have to wait until next year for this opportunity. That makes this win so special since so many people, including me, didn't know if with what the team had been subjected to this year could even get there. I never stopped believing in this group of guys and more importantly they never stopped believing in themselves, their coach and their General Manager who keep plugging in new bodies. Savor this one fans because it really has been a special year. And it ain't over yet!

I was just thinking, next year they will be even better. That should scare the hell out of the rest of the NFL. Do you think maybe Lovie knew that and that was why he played his starters in the 17th week?He knew if he didn't stop us then, he may not get another chance.
