Just Gotta Say…Aaron Rodgers is a CLASS ACT

aaron at Badgers v ArizonaWe have all seen the pictures of Aaron Rodgers with Olivia Munn at the recent Badgers games. And The Cheese even had some fun with that, but seeing Aaron at the Badgers versus Arizona game just made me think about what a class act Aaron Rodgers is.

Aaron Rodgers is a pro player, he works SO hard for the Green Bay Packers. And yet, here we see IMG_0989.JPGhim, in the offseason, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers as if they were his home team. What a class act! Aaron Rodgers has embraced Wisconsin as if it was his own. This is evidenced by his support of Sam Dekker, who Aaron has corresponded with all year.

To see the best player in the NFL support the Wisconsin Badgers makes me think that there is greatness in Aaron that supercedes the football field. Simply said…it makes me proud to be a Packers fan and proud to be from Wisconsin. I love that Aaron supports the Badgers and have really enjoyed seeing him in the stands cheering them on.

Go Badgers…and Go Pack!

    Aaron,
You truly make us proud to be a Packer fan. You are a #1 class act in everything you do. Was so shocked to see you at the Badgers game. Brought a big smuile to my face. Keep going strong.

Before I read this, I had commented on other sites the same things about Rodgers being at the Badgers’ games. I’ve seen him at Brewers’ games, too. He’s a transplant, so to speak, but he’s a better Wisconsin fan than some of those who have lived here their whole lives!
I also know that the media was miffed when Rodgers came onto the floor after the WI game and didn’t talk with them. He shook Dekker’s hand and essentially told the media he had a pass to come onto the floor to see the team, NOT to talk with the media. How many other pro athletes can you think of who wouldn’t have taken the opportunity to put the focus on themselves instead? I’m honored to be a proud Wisconsin Packer fan with a leader like Rodgers!

Aaron is professional in every aspect. He should be allowed to cheer for whatever team he wants to and wear whatever he wants to. Regarding refusing to be interviewed, the focus was on the Badgers. And maybe since he is expected to do interviews ALL the time in relation to the Packers, it would not be expecting too much to not have to do that at the game. I feel that he deserves to have some respect for his personal life.
