The Packers have been a leading team in successfully developing un-drafted free agents for a long time. Yesterday the Pack announced that they had signed Villanova tackle Vince Kowalski. At 6’4″ and 305 pounds, Kowalski has the frame to add depth to the Packers line while he develops as a pro. Kowalski is also durable, starting every game of his four year career at ‘Nova. He keeps a wide base and finishes plays. All-in-all, big Kowalski is an interesting prospect on a team that has its starting O-line intact but needs to continue to look to add depth in case (heaven forbid) one of the starters goes down. Kowalski looks like he may have a shot at making the roster but see for yourself in the highlights video below:
With OTA’s starting up again today, Kowalski will have a chance to begin to “stand out” which is exactly what he is going to have to do to find a place on this year’s Packers team.
Go Pack!
He looks the part…It’s always good to have the big guys on the shelf in case of emergencies!
The film of him that I saw of him I was really impressed with him. He stuck with the guy that he was blocking & seemed really good with his feet. Looks like the pack can do some real good things with him. Go pack!!!!
Right on Chuck! And coming to a team with its starters in place will give him time to develop!
I’d rather have Walter Sobchak however the “Big Kowalski” will work!
