2014 showed that the Packers offense is, frankly, a juggernaut. Two rookies that made a difference at positions where that is difficult to do (wide receiver and tight end) in this league will now be coming back after a season full of experiences, good and bad. This experience, combined with the veteran presence of Pro-Bowler Jordy Nelson and the ever-dangerous Randall Cobb will give defenses fits in 2015. Add to that the up-and-coming Jeff Janis and a healthy Jared Abbrederis and the Packers receiver corps will force defenses to “pick their poison”. We will highlight all these guys in successive installments of the series.
Jared Abbrederis and Jeff Janis have yet to prove themselves in the NFL world. Abbrederis spent his first season on IR and Janis saw little or no playing time as well. But the two have potential and with health and a year under their belts, many Packers fans are excited to see what these two can do. Here is a little teaser for each:
And here is Jeff Janis in the preseason last year:
Abby had to lay up on half his catches because the QB didn’t have a arm but Rodgers will hit him and janis in stride for many TD’s this season
Yes, our o was the highest scoring o in the NFL last season, but we also were very lucky that none of our skill players sustained a serious injury. ARod miss part of a game b/c of calf. Our RT missed part of a game. Imagine what our o would have looked like if nelson or cobb has missed half the season. Will we be that lucky again in ’15?
