PM Quickslant: Favre Nervous About Celebration

Brett FavreRob Demovsky had a nice article about how Brett Favre is nervous and excited about the upcoming ceremony and his induction into the Hall of Fame. Favre seems to be quite moved by the fact that tickets to the event sold out so fast.

So tonight, rather than banter on and on about how much I loved the way Favre played the game (no offense to Aaron Rodgers who is friggin’ awesome), I thought I would just open it up to Packernations comments. How would you encourage Brett before he makes his speech? Knowing that he is nervous, saying that he is going to “wing it” kind of like he did in games, what would you say?

brett 2cropI would love to hear Packernation’s “pep talk” to Brett Favre as the ceremony is just days away. Please feel free to comment below or on the Facebook fan-page. We would love to hear from you!

Go Brett!

No matter what transpired with his departure when he played the game he gave this team his all and he was a pleasure to watch…Every single game was a edge of your seat nail biter not knowing if the gunslinger would throw 3 TD’s or 5 INT’s lol but no matter what he saved this franchise and deserves every honor they give him.

For many people football is a business. But, to most players and fans it is a family. This family loved Favre (and Deanna) and the Favre’s loved this family. At the end, the business side, whether anyone liked or disliked it, changed the family. But, this night (Favre’s Night) it is good to be a part of this family again.

He played the game with heart and soul. He was the best. I almost cried when he left the Packers. He made the game exciting. He deserves to have his jersey retired in Green Bay. He IS a Packer!!

I was really pissed when you went to Minnesota. I wasn’t sure at that time I wanted you back. Now the time has come and I’m elated to see your number in the ring. You were truly “One of a kind”

The best advice I could offer up to Brett is to be himself.. I have been fortunate to have witnessed every single game that Brett played in Lambeau. I don’t think that Brett understands, truly understands the joy and passion and the winning tradition that he brought back to the Green Bay Packers and to the countless loyal fans. Speak to that passion Brett, people get it, it was a great run and you and your teammates started a new dynasty.

Wing it!!!!! I truely hope it is a no no no yes td. Not another make it happen leading to an interception. I do remember all the good things Farve did while he played for Green Bay, yes he has earned this time in the light. Would be great if he came back for the alum games and was on field at halftime.
