Packers are in the Playoffs!

bucsSPEED_largeThe Packers got to the playoffs today with a 20-3 win over Tampa Bay. Now, if the Cowboys win or tie, they clinch the NFC East and the Seahawks also clinch a spot with a win or a tie. While it would be nice to see the Seahawks drop one, it seems unlikely against an Arizona team who, though they now hold the top spot in the NFC…also will be fielding their third string quarterback.

But for the Packers, the most important thing is to get ready for the Lions. For those of you who got a chance to catch the end of the Lions game, it was the same Lions team we have seen for about six weeks now. A lot of dirty plays and barely coming back to win in the second half after being down most of the game. This team has been begging to be beaten and the Packers are just the team to do it. The defense is coming on at the right time (7 sacks) and the offense, though it has sputtered on the road, has been brilliant at home. Even Davante Adams can catch the football at Lambeau!

I know many in Packernation are not happy about the way the Packers played today, but here’s my bold prediction right here…right now:

imagesCATDOOYXThe Lions are going down, and they are going down BIG. There will be no happier team in the NFL to get back home than the Green Bay Packers and they are not going to let a team like the Lions ruin their homefield spot in the playoffs. Green Bay was upset by the Lions early because of offensive miscues and in spite of a defense that shut the Lions down. That defense is even better today and the offense is a juggernaut at home.

The Packers WILL get it done! And from there…they can build some momentum to right the wrongs of the years since 2010.

Go Pack!

Agreed Brady, This team plays great at home and I think they beat the Lions next week as well, But what concerns me is having to play tough teams on the road, If a hobbled up Bucs defense gave them this much trouble just imagine what a Seattle D will do on the road! But I will keep the faith and root for my Pack until the day I die.

    Go Pack Go!

I had to laugh at “This team has been begging to be beaten…”. I think it’ll be a tough game, but Packers should be able to dig out another win at home. NFC North belongs to GB. Go Pack go! :)

Since ’92, the Lions are 0-20 in Green Bay, 0-23 in Wisconsin. The Packers will win the Division and get the #2 Seed.
