When the Packers added Josh Jones in the second round, I hadn't been paying enough attention to the safety position. With the depth at cornerback in this year's draft, I was hoping the Packers would pick up another CB but overlooked the fact that the Packers are high on versatility and with the exit of Micah Hyde, might be looking in that direction. What King Adds to the Packers

Many in Packer Nation were ecstatic when the Packers drafted Kevin King with the first pick in round two. King brings an immediate upgrade to a Packers roster that struggled to keep number one wide receivers in check and the pick certainly shows that the Packers are intent on playing better in that regard. How much can be expected of King out of the box remains to be seen but with former first and second round picks Randall and Rollins still on the roster, along with the re-addition of Davon House, the pick really helps the defensive backfield out.  (more…)
