Making the Special Teams Special: Part 1 Arrow Pointing UP

  2 years ago     71 Views     2 Comments

At the end of last season, there was a lot of talk of how the Packers special teams let us down. There was then a lot of action on the part of the Packers staff in letting Shawn Slocum go, making sure the head coach was in on the special teams meetings, and drafting versatile players who are likely to contribute to that group. UnPACK the Play: Rodgers, Nelson, and Cobb…the Three-Headed Giant

  2 years ago     112 Views     2 Comments

Javess Blue, the wide receiver out of Kentucky comes in at 6' and 188 lbs., posted a 4.56-40 yard dash, has a 33" vertical, 10'1" broad jump, but only had 29 catches for 525 yds and 5 TD's. While he does not look like much he seems to have the speed and hands to make it as a slot receiver, but what I like about his video is when he said he was a corner before changing positions and when he was he was good at it, Hmmm does Mike have ideas running through his head? Check out the video…

Draft classes will always be measured and graded just days after the selections are made and before the players even take the field. This may not be fair but it is a reality. This is a "What have you done for me lately" league and it is becoming a "What will you do for me" league. This year's draft class is exciting and there are several guys I am excited about seeing take the field in training camp and the pre-season. But the offseason before the 2015 season is also the perfect time to take a look at some of the…
