Day two of training camp brought back the long awaited return of Mason Crosby to the practice field. Mason Crosby, the same kicker who for the last two seasons has brought pain and anguish to many a Packer fan because of his inability to make the “big kick” at the most important time of the game.
In typical Crosby fashion, his big leg-no control was in grand display for all to see during practice Sunday evening. He went 6-9, all from within 50 yards. His misses were from 40 and twice from 45. A key stat to keep in mind is that for the last two seasons, his accuracy has been under the 80% threshold for acceptability for a NFL kicker, and the third straight season his accuracy has declined (79.5% 2007, 79.4% 2008, 75.0% 2009)
As word of his struggles hit the Twitterverse, calls for his impending release were all over the place. The Cheesehead TV Live Blog had virtually every participant saying “cut him now” in an effort to vent frustrations because of his continued struggles and speed up what so many hope is the inevitable.
Here you have it: five games that you absolutely don’t want to miss this season. Sorry to disappoint those who are fans the legendary Packers/Bears rivalry, but their Monday Night showdown during Week 3 at Soldier Field doesn’t make the list – nor does the late November home game versus the 49ers where the Packers will be wearing their throwback uniforms. There are some great games to be played this season, but these five stand out above the rest.
Mike McCarthy just wrapped up his season opening press conference, and in typical fashion, did not go into many specifics. The practices ahead will determine the future, but a few highlights to start the season:
· McCarthy was wearing a rockin’NFL golf shirt (little humor to start)
· Very happy to have all players signed and in camp
· Aleric Mullins has decided to move on from football. Notified the team a few days ago.
· Al Harris (knee) Atari Bigby (ankle) and James Starks (hamstring) all start on PUP
· Doctors very encouraged by the progress of Al Harris

I guess you can call them highlights. Sure give us a taste of the coming season.
I think, in addition to playing very vanilla on defense in order to not tip his hand, Capers was also trying to ensure that his players won't get hurt.
